This past June, members of a local Canadian dental contingent had the opportunity to travel as dental volunteers to Uganda.
After countless hours of planning, fund raising and obtaining travel documents, a team of dentists, assistants and support team members packed their bags and headed half way across the globe to Uganda!
Traveling to Kamwokya Primary School in Kampala, a local School supported by the Mondetta Charity Foundation, the team was on a mission as 'Dental Ambasadors' to provide much needed urgent dental care and education to the students and staff of the school of 2000.
The MDAA was proud to help provide a donation to the mission for our fellow RDA's. The MDAA's contribution was appreciated by the RDA's who were able to use the donation towards transportation and food while in Uganda.
Among the dental contingent was the MDAA’s own Pauline Simundson (pictured above), who not only brought back memories of a lifetime but pictures that capture the moment and spirit of the mission.
