Volunteerism - We Need You!

The MDAA has volunteer opportunities for which we are actively looking for interested and committed members. The MDAA has several committees to which members are often appointed. Some of the committees are long-standing committees, but the majority are non-permanent committees usually created to work on a short/medium project.

One theme is consistent: committee work is a key area for volunteering with your professional organization. New projects emerge regularly and usually need volunteers to assist. There are also opportunities to assist at events and programs that the MDAA sponsors such as Con Ed Sessions and the Annual General Meeting.

If you would like to volunteer for any of the following committees, we would love to hear from you. Volunteering on a committee is recognition of your willingness to formally assist in the future of the profession. It is how most elected members start their careers with the MDAA and it is a very good point of reference on a resume.

Every year, we also involved in recruiting a few members to the MDAA Board of Directors. This director position is a two-year commitment wherein the Board would meet seven to eight times through the year. It is a great way to be connected with your profession as well as bring your insights and thoughts forward to ensure that we are doing all we can for our members while earning credit hours.

If you have thought about getting more involved, have some time to offer, want to learn some new things about the profession and perhaps yourself, why not let us know.
